Facial Exercises To Look Up To Three Years Younger

These are some of the facial exercises that have been shown to significantly reduce some of the signs of ageing, according to an interesting recent study on the effects on the appearance of people of repeating certain specific movements.

Sculpting The Cheeks
The fit face exercise helps create a better shape on the cheekbones. It hardens all the muscles of the cheeks and helps raise the middle part of the face.

1. Smile without showing your teeth, while turning your lips outward as if trying to show as many lips as possible. Try to smile with the corners of your mouth while pulling up all the muscles in your cheeks. You should feel a slight "burning" sensation at the corners of your mouth.
2. Place the index fingers just above the corners of the mouth and press firmly. Now slowly slide your indexes upwards, until you reach the cheekbones, pressing the muscle very hard and deeply.
3. Maintaining that pressure, use the fingertips to lift those muscle fibres up and over the cheekbones, towards the corners of the eyes. When you reach the top of the cheekbones, stop and press firmly, keeping the muscles there.
4. Bra for 20 seconds. You must feel the muscles of your cheeks harden. Be careful not to take your fingers too far up, beyond the eyes, because you would lose the grip of those fine muscle fibres.
5. To add pressure and help keep the grip in the right place, press the middle fingers over the indexes. Keep smiling with the corners of your lips.
6. Relax; Then repeat this exercise two more times.

Elevation of the Eyebrows
This exercise helps to soften the wrinkles in the upper eyelids, raise the eyebrows and nuance the vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows.

1. Smile Press three fingertips of each of your hands below the eyebrows to force the opening of the eyes. Smile while trying to frown your brows down and against your fingers. Hold and breathe deeply.
2. Now close the upper eyelids down and rotate the eyeball to the top of the head.
3. Stay like this for 20 seconds. Keep breathing deeply while you smile. Release and relax.
4. Repeat the exercise three times.

Elevation of the Cheeks
This exercise is designed to elevate the drooping cheeks and help smooth the upper lip.

1. Smile Open your mouth and form a large "O".
2. Fold the upper lip over the front teeth. Smile again to raise the muscles of the cheeks. Put your index fingers gently on the top of the cheeks, just below the eyes. Relax the muscles of the cheeks, allowing them to return to their relaxed original position.
3. Smile again with the corners of your mouth to raise the cheek muscles again. Visualise that you push the muscles up, towards the eyes, while you smile. Thus, you end a flexion. Make ten of them.
4. In the tenth flexion, keep the muscles of the cheeks as high as you can. Imagine that they are moving up your face, towards the ceiling.
5. Move the indexes 2.5 centimetres away from the face and then raise them towards the scalp. This will help you visualise the cheek muscles going up. Hold this pose for 20 seconds while you look up, towards your fingers. Squeezing the buttocks during these 20 seconds will help you to press the muscles of the cheeks even more forcefully. Release and relax.
6. Repeat the exercise three times.
